My Elephant Poo Journal

Today was indeed awesome; for I received my long awaited journal. A few weeks ago I lost my notebook that I use for writing things(but I still know where my notebook is that isn’t for writing things…).

I was bummed but luckily boingboing had a story about a new paper company called Elephant Poo Paper.

That’s right, the paper and the journal pictured above is made from elephant feces.

I had fun at work getting people to smell it and touch it before telling them what it was. Lauren was a good victim and let me take pictures of her reactions.

Good Paper:
Despite it’s questionable origins the poo paper does not smell. At least not like poo. Jon suggested that it smells like hemp. I think he’s right but maybe it smells a bit more like African grass.

I’m going to start using it today and I’ll let everyone know if I get sick or if the paper is weird. The paper looks really good and has a cool feel to it.
